The power of Care
Burn within sight, so incase any accidents occur, you can be there to stop it immediately.
Keep away from flammables, because we don’t want a fire to strike the environment.
Keep away from children and pets, they could get burned, the candle could catch clothes, or if dropped on floor could create a devastating fire in the home.
Trim the wick before burning to have a cleaner burner, and avoiding the debris from the wick.
If there ends up being dust or debris clear them out before lighting candle.
Using a wick trimmer is essential for a better even cut.
Maximum amount of time the candle should be left burning at a time is 4 hours. On the first burn, make sure that the entire top layer of the candle has a pool of wax edge, to edge to make sure there is no tunneling occurring on the next burn.
Types of surfaces considered safe for burning the candle is Stovetops, granite countertops, wooden tables and shelves that have been treated to be fire-resistant, but just incase, use a candle holder under the candle to prevent ruining the fire resistant table/shelving. Avoid placing candle on any non-fire resistant surfaces.
Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting to keep it a cleaner burn. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time. Stop use when only 1/4" or 5mm of wax remains.
Avoid burning below 5mm, and with Michael by the beach, avoid burning once you see the sand, no wax is no longer covering the sand.
Light the candle within 12 to 16 months of buying it, since the candles I make isn’t made with paraffin wax it can’t last for a long period of time. Soy wax candles can only last for 2 years if stored in a cool dry place and have no dust buildup, etc.
Store the candle in a cool dry place, and it’s best to light the candle near a running sink.
Clean glass containers with 70% proof isotopin alcohol
If for some reason a tunneling occurs, you can heat up the top quickly with a heat gun, or with a blow dryer to make a full pool of wax on top.
If for some reason dust and debris is on top of the candle and you’re unable to get it out, you can always heat up the top layer of the candle using a heat gun or a blow dryer and gently pour the wax out. Avoid pouring in any pipes of your house hold because it could clog.
Above can also help if you per say want more wick as well.
